Welcome to the Demo version of Special Delivery™!. Special Delivery software is the first multimedia software product designed to meet the needs of mainstream users. It is a media integration and delivery tool that will enable you to quickly and easily build interactive multimedia for presentations, kiosks, training and education. The product uses the concept of an interactive slide and features a simple graphical technique for creating interactivity without the use of scripting, timelines or other complex interfaces.
We're proud of Special Delivery and we think you'll be pleased with its simple and innovative approach to creating interactive multimedia. To further the use of our products, we have created this demo version. Try it out! We think you will like it. This Demo version will not Save or Print. Also, when running a presentation, the product will briefly blink "Special Delivery™ Demo" at the beginning of each slide.

Special Delivery Installation
To install Special Delivery and get ready to use the product:
1. Start your Macintosh.
2. Make backup copies of the three Special Delivery disks. As with any new software, we recommend making a backup before installation.
3. Insert Special Delivery Disk 1 into your disk drive and copy the Special Delivery™ Demo.sea file onto your hard disk. Double click the Special Delivery™.sea icon on your hard drive. The file will expand into a Special Delivery folder. Inside the folder you will find the Special Delivery application. You will also find four other folders: Transitions, Button Graphics, Backgrounds and Goodies.
You may delete the Special Delivery™.sea file.
4. Insert Special Delivery Disk 2 into your disk drive. This disk contains the QuickTime™ System Extension and the Claris Folder. Copy the QuickTime extension to the System Folder. It will install itself in the Extensions folder inside your System folder.
The Claris folder contains the Claris XTND Translation System. Special Delivery needs the Claris XTND System installed for its proper operation. If you already have the Claris XTND System, you still need to install the IMC translators. They are unique to IMC products. These are provided on this disk.
To install the Claris XTND System: drag the Claris Folder to your System Folder.
If you already have a Claris Folder inside your System Folder, install the Translators as follows: Open the Claris Folder and then drag the Claris Translators Folder to the Claris Folder which already exists inside your System Folder.
5. Insert Special Delivery Disk 3 into your disk drive. This disk contains a file named Special Delivery™ Tutorial.sea that contains sample files that you will use as you work through the Reviewer's Guide. Copy this file to your hard drive. Double click on it to expand it. It will expand into a folder called Special Delivery Tutorial. Drag this folder into the Special Delivery folder you created in step #3. When you are done, your folder should look like the figure below.
You may trash the Special Delivery Tutorial.sea file on your hard drive.

Compatibility problems
We have discovered some problems involving files compressed with Auto Doubler or Disk Doubler:
• Special Delivery won't play sounds compressed with these products. Also, the Set Sound Info dialog box will not work on sound files compressed with these products. To use these sounds with Special Delivery, make sure they are expanded before you play them or use them with the Set Sound Info command.
• If you move a presentation and its content files to a system where they are compressed with one of these products, Special Delivery cannot find them.
